A replica of a 1627 trading post that may have been the first of its kind in America. Native American artifacts; rune stone believed to be proof of visits to the area by the Phoenicians in 400 BC; artifacts in two rooms. On grounds are herb garden, site of original spring, saltworks; railroad station built for President Grover Cleveland for use at his Gray Gables home, his summer White House; Dutch-style windmill; picnic area adjacent to Cape Cod Canal. (June-mid-October, Monday-Saturday 10 am-4 pm, Sunday 2 pm-5 pm)
